childhood. We aim for a society that respects and values every child and equally every child respects and

values in themselves.

It is so easy in today's society for "normal" children to become abused and disadvantaged. Canada is a

leading nation in every respect yet we still have too high an incidence of childhood abuse, bullying and

neglect. Growing up in our ever changing, fast paced society causes enormous stress on so many young

people, leading them to make poor decisions and bad life choices.

Kids In Distress Society helps alleviate some of the issues affecting children and youth through early

intervention programs, mentoring, education and professionally facilitated camps, retreats, and

counselling programs.

Our group of committed volunteers and our professional colleagues work tirelessly in trying to make our

society a better place for all young people, helping children and youth make good life decisions and to

see them through to a successful conclusion. We believe strongly that every child can be a success and a

credit to the society in which they live and grow.

Our programs include:

●  Youth Retreats - for children, grieving the loss of a parent or loved one.

●  Hats and Hair for Kids - who suffer from hair loss due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.

●  Anti Bullying - school and education programs.

●  Referral Assistance for kids and families in need.
